Reception Lighting 101
Let's talk about creating the ultimate reception space with the help of lighting! Chances are you've seen plenty of images of our venue by day… but have you seen it when it comes to life at night?
We have seen some pretty stellar receptions here at our venue, that upped the party vibe by bringing in additional lightning! There are so many options to choose from! Most DJ's offer uplighting at an additional cost, and if not, you can check with local party rental companies to find out what is available in your area. Tip: We recommend using uplighting from a professional vendor that is knowledgeable in the amount of amps the lighting will pull and can verify that they won't trip a breaker!
Are you wanting to create more of a dance party vibe during your reception? If so, perhaps try going with the multi-colored lighting! These colors are super vibrant! Or maybe you just want to keep it clean and simple and add more white lighting to help elevate your space. Either way, adding in additional lighting elements is a great way to warm up your reception and help capture the vibe you are going for.
Another super fun idea is purchasing your own neon light doting your new last name or perhaps a fun phrase! Try hanging it behind your sweetheart table for an added photo op! It makes for a great conversation piece and your guests will love taking photos in front of it with the two of you!
Our venue always comes equipped with exterior market lighting that surrounds the property, lit crystal chandelier at the ceremony site, as well as tent rentals from our preferred vendor (Shore Tents and Events) includes clear market lighting with light crystal chandeliers. But if you are looking to add an extra pop of color and lighting, we highly recommend checking with your DJ and inquiring on their uplighting services! Not only will you end up with some pretty awesome reception photos, but your guests will love it too!
